Surah Maryam Ayat 74 with English Translation

اللہ کے نام سے شروع جو نہایت مہربان ہمیشہ رحم فرمانے والا ہے
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Ever-Merciful

وَ کَمۡ اَہۡلَکۡنَا قَبۡلَہُمۡ مِّنۡ قَرۡنٍ ہُمۡ اَحۡسَنُ اَثَاثًا وَّ رِءۡیًا ﴿۷۴﴾

74. اور ہم نے ان سے پہلے کتنی ہی قوموں کو ہلاک کر ڈالا جو ساز و سامانِ زندگی اور نمود و نمائش کے لحاظ سے (ان سے بھی) کہیں بہتر تھےo

74. And how many a generation have We destroyed before them who were superior in worldly riches and outward glitter!

74. And how many a people have We destroyed before them who were better off (than these) in worldly assets and pomp and show!

74. Wakam ahlakna qablahum min qarnin hum ahsanu athathan wariyan

74. Og hvor mange folk har Vi ikke tilintetgjort før dem, som var bedre (enn dem) i verdslige eiendeler og i ytre prakt?

74. और हमने उनसे पहले कितनी ही क़ौमों को हलाक कर डाला जो साज़ो सामाने ज़िन्दगी और नुमूदो नुमाइश के लिहाज़ से (उनसे भी) कहीं बेहतर थे।

৭৪. আর তাদের পূর্বে আমরা কতোই না সম্প্রদায়কে ধ্বংস করেছি, যারা সম্পদে এবং জাঁক-জমকে ছিল (তাদের থেকেও) শ্রেষ্ঠতর ।
(Maryam, 19 : 74)
