اللہ کے نام سے شروع جو نہایت مہربان ہمیشہ رحم فرمانے والا ہے
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Ever-Merciful

وَ مَاۤ اٰتَیۡنٰہُمۡ مِّنۡ کُتُبٍ یَّدۡرُسُوۡنَہَا وَ مَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ اِلَیۡہِمۡ قَبۡلَکَ مِنۡ نَّذِیۡرٍ ﴿ؕ۴۴﴾

44. اور ہم نے ان (اہلِ مکہّ) کو نہ آسمانی کتابیں عطا کی تھیں جنہیں یہ لوگ پڑھتے ہوں اور نہ ہی آپ سے پہلے ان کی طرف کوئی ڈر سنانے والا بھیجا تھاo

44. And neither did We give them (the residents of Mecca) the revealed Books, which they would recite, nor did We send to them any Warner before you.

44. Wama ataynahum min kutubin yadrusoonaha wama arsalna ilayhim qablaka min natheerin

44. Og Vi ga ikke dem (Mekkas folk) noen himmelske skrifter som de kunne studere, og heller ikke sendte Vi til dem en eneste advarer før deg.

44. और हमने उन (अह्‌ले मक्का) को न आस्मानी किताबें अ़ता की थीं जिन्हें ये लोग पढ़ते हों और न ही आपसे पहले उनकी तरफ कोई डर सुनाने वाला भेजा था।

৪৪. আর আমরা এদেরকে (এ মক্কাবাসীকে) কোনো আসমানী কিতাব দেইনি যা তারা পাঠ করতো; আর আপনার পূর্বে তাদের নিকট কোনো সতর্ককারীও প্রেরণ করিনি।
