اللہ کے نام سے شروع جو نہایت مہربان ہمیشہ رحم فرمانے والا ہے
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Ever-Merciful

وَ لَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ اِلٰۤی اُمَمٍ مِّنۡ قَبۡلِکَ فَاَخَذۡنٰہُمۡ بِالۡبَاۡسَآءِ وَ الضَّرَّآءِ لَعَلَّہُمۡ یَتَضَرَّعُوۡنَ ﴿۴۲﴾

42. اور بیشک ہم نے آپ سے پہلے بہت سی اُمتوں کی طرف رسول بھیجے، پھر ہم نے ان کو (نافرمانی کے باعث) تنگ دستی اور تکلیف کے ذریعے پکڑ لیا تاکہ وہ (عجز و نیاز کے ساتھ) گِڑگڑائیںo

42. We had indeed sent (messengers) to (different) nations before you, then We afflicted them with hardships and sufferings so that they might humble themselves (to Us).

42. Indeed, We sent Messengers to many communities before you. Then We seized them with scarcity and distress (due to their disobedience and defiance), so that they might beseech (with submissiveness and humility).

42. Walaqad arsalna ila omamin min qablika faakhathnahum bialbasai waalddarrai laAAallahum yatadarraAAoona

42. Og sannelig, Vi har sendt mange sendebud før deg til flere samfunn; Vi tok dem (samfunnene) fatt (for deres ulydighet) med trengsel og lidelse, slik at de måtte trygle (som underdanige og ydmyke).

42. और बेशक हमने आपसे पहले बहुत सी उम्मतों की तरफ रसूल भेजे, फिर हमने उनको (ना फरमानी के बाइस) तंगदस्ती और तक्लीफ के ज़रीए पकड़ लिया ताकि वोह (इज्ज़ो नियाज़ के साथ) गिड़गिड़ाएं।

৪২. আর নিশ্চয়ই আমরা আপনার পূর্বেও অনেক জাতির নিকট রাসূল প্রেরণ করেছিলাম; অতঃপর আমরা তাদেরকে (নাফরমানীর কারণে) অভাব-অনটন ও চরম দুর্দশার মাধ্যমে পাকড়াও করেছিলাম, যাতে তারা (বিনয় ও নম্রতার মাধ্যমে) সনির্বন্ধ প্রার্থনা করে।

فَلَوۡلَاۤ اِذۡ جَآءَہُمۡ بَاۡسُنَا تَضَرَّعُوۡا وَ لٰکِنۡ قَسَتۡ قُلُوۡبُہُمۡ وَ زَیَّنَ لَہُمُ الشَّیۡطٰنُ مَا کَانُوۡا یَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ﴿۴۳﴾

43. پھر جب ان تک ہمارا عذاب آپہنچا تو انہوں نے عاجزی و زاری کیوں نہ کی؟ لیکن (حقیقت یہ ہے کہ) ان کے دل سخت ہوگئے تھے اور شیطان نے ان کے لئے وہ (گناہ) آراستہ کر دکھائے تھے جو وہ کیا کرتے تھےo

43. So why did they not humble themselves when our punishment overtook them? Instead, their hearts had hardened, and Satan made what they used to do alluring to them.

43. Then why did they not humble themselves and wail and moan when Our torment came upon them? But (the fact is that) their hearts became hardened, and Satan made those (sinful) acts that they used to perpetrate appear to them attractive and alluring.

43. Falawla ith jaahum basuna tadarraAAoo walakin qasat quloobuhum wazayyana lahumu alshshaytanu ma kanoo yaAAmaloona

43. Hvorfor tryglet de ikke i ydmykhet når pinen Vår kom over dem? Men (sannheten er den at) deres hjerte var blitt forherdet og Satan hadde gjort det (de syndene) som de pleide å begå, attraktive for dem.

43. फिर जब उन तक हमारा अ़ज़ाब आ पहुंचा तो उन्होंने आजिज़ी व ज़ारी क्यों न की? लेकिन (हक़ीक़त ये है कि) उनके दिल सख़्त हो गए थे और शैतान ने उनके लिए वोह (गुनाह) आरास्ता कर दिखाए थे जो वोह किया करते थे।

৪৩. অতঃপর যখন তাদের উপর আমাদের শাস্তি নেমে এলো তখন তারা কেন বিনয় ও নম্রতা অবলম্বন করেনি? কিন্তু (প্রকৃত সত্য হলো,) তাদের অন্তর কঠোর হয়ে গিয়েছিল এবং শয়তান তাদের জন্যে সেসব (পাপ) কর্ম চিত্তাকর্ষক ও মোহনীয় করে দেখিয়েছিল যা তারা সম্পন্ন করতো।
(al-An‘am, 6 : 43)

فَلَمَّا نَسُوۡا مَا ذُکِّرُوۡا بِہٖ فَتَحۡنَا عَلَیۡہِمۡ اَبۡوَابَ کُلِّ شَیۡءٍ ؕ حَتّٰۤی اِذَا فَرِحُوۡا بِمَاۤ اُوۡتُوۡۤا اَخَذۡنٰہُمۡ بَغۡتَۃً فَاِذَا ہُمۡ مُّبۡلِسُوۡنَ ﴿۴۴﴾

44. پھر جب انہوں نے اس نصیحت کو فراموش کردیا جو ان سے کی گئی تھی تو ہم نے (انہیں اپنے انجام تک پہنچانے کے لیے) ان پر ہر چیز (کی فراوانی) کے دروازے کھول دیئے، یہاں تک کہ جب وہ ان چیزوں (کی لذتوں اور راحتوں) سے خوب خوش ہو (کر مدہوش ہو) گئے جو انہیں دی گئی تھیں تو ہم نے اچانک انہیں (عذاب میں) پکڑ لیا تو اس وقت وہ مایوس ہوکر رہ گئےo

44. So when they forgot what they had been reminded of, We opened the gates of all (good) things for them (to flourish abundantly), until, when they rejoiced in what they were given, We seized them suddenly (with terrible punishment), and they were struck with utter despair.

44. But when they forgot that Reminder which was urged upon them, We opened up for them the gates (to abundance) of everything (to take them to their end) until when they luxuriated (in ecstasy of sensual delights and sensuous gratification) with all that was provided for them, We seized them all of a sudden (with torment) and they were struck with despair.

44. Falamma nasoo ma thukkiroo bihi fatahna AAalayhim abwaba kulli shayin hatta itha farihoo bima ootoo akhathnahum baghtatan faitha hum mublisoona

44. Men da de glemte det som de ble formanet om, åpnet Vi over dem (for å føre dem til deres ende) alle tings porter (i rikt monn), helt til de ble svært glade (følte ekstase og tilfredsstillelse, og beruset av lykkerus) over alt det de hadde fått. Da tok Vi dem overraskende fatt (med pinen), og da oppga de alt håp.

44. फिर जब उन्होंने उस नसीहत को फरामोश कर दिया जो उनसे की गई थी तो हमने (उन्हें अपने अंजाम तक पहुंचाने के लिए) उन पर हर चीज़ (की फरावानी) के दरवाज़े खोल दिए। यहां तक कि जब वोह इन चीज़ों (की लज़्ज़तों और राहतों) से ख़ूब खु़श हो (कर मदहोश हो) गए जो उन्हें दी गई थीं तो हमने अचानक उन्हें (अ़ज़ाब में) पकड़ लिया तो उस वक़्तवोह मायूस होकर रह गए।

৪৪. অতঃপর যখন তারা সে উপদেশ ভুলে গেল যা তাদেরকে প্রদান করা হয়েছিল, তখন আমরা (তাদেরকে তাদের পরিণতি পর্যন্ত পৌঁছাতে) তাদের জন্যে সকল (প্রাচুর্যের) দরোজা খুলে দিলাম। এমনকি যখন তাদেরকে দেয়া ওইসব বস্তুর (আমোদ ও পরিতৃপ্তির) কারণে তারা আনন্দে উৎফুল্লিত হয়ে গেল, তখন আমরা অকস্মাৎ তাদেরকে (শাস্তির মাধ্যমে) পাকড়াও করলাম। ফলে, তারা নিরাশ হয়ে গেল।
(al-An‘am, 6 : 44)

فَقُطِعَ دَابِرُ الۡقَوۡمِ الَّذِیۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡا ؕ وَ الۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰہِ رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِیۡنَ ﴿۴۵﴾

45. پس ظلم کرنے والی قوم کی جڑ کاٹ دی گئی، اور تمام تعریفیں اللہ ہی کے لئے ہیں جو سارے جہانوں کا پروردگار ہےo

45. Thus, the (last) remnants of those people who were unjust were cut off. And all praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of all worlds.

45. So the root of the wrongdoing and unjust people was cut off. And all praise belongs to Allah alone, Who is the Sustainer of all the worlds.

45. FaqutiAAa dabiru alqawmi allatheena thalamoo waalhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena

45. Og det ondsinnede folkets rot ble skåret bort. Og all lovprisning er for Allah alene, Forsørgeren av alle verdener.

45. पस जु़ल्म करने वाली क़ौम की जड़ काट दी गई, और तमाम तारीफें अल्लाह ही के लिए हैं जो सारे जहानों का परवरदिगार है।

৪৫. অতঃপর অত্যাচারী সম্প্রদায়ের শিকড় কেটে দেয়া হলো, আর সমস্ত প্রশংসা আল্লাহ্‌রই জন্যে, যিনি সমস্ত জগতের প্রতিপালক।
(al-An‘am, 6 : 45)

قُلۡ اَرَءَیۡتُمۡ اِنۡ اَخَذَ اللّٰہُ سَمۡعَکُمۡ وَ اَبۡصَارَکُمۡ وَ خَتَمَ عَلٰی قُلُوۡبِکُمۡ مَّنۡ اِلٰہٌ غَیۡرُ اللّٰہِ یَاۡتِیۡکُمۡ بِہٖ ؕ اُنۡظُرۡ کَیۡفَ نُصَرِّفُ الۡاٰیٰتِ ثُمَّ ہُمۡ یَصۡدِفُوۡنَ ﴿۴۶﴾

46. (ان سے) فرما دیجئے کہ تم یہ تو بتاؤ اگر اللہ تمہاری سماعت اور تمہاری آنکھیں لے لے اور تمہارے دلوں پر مُہر لگا دے (تو) اللہ کے سوا کون معبود ایسا ہے جو یہ (نعمتیں دوبارہ) تمہارے پاس لے آئے؟ دیکھئے ہم کس طرح گونا گوں آیتیں بیان کرتے ہیں پھر(بھی) وہ روگردانی کئے جاتے ہیںo

46. Say: ‘What do you think: If Allah takes away your hearing and your sight and seals your hearts, which god besides Allah can bring it (back) to you?’ Look how We explain Our revelations in various ways! Yet they still turn away.

46. Say (to them): ‘What do you think if Allah deprives you of hearing and sight and seals up your hearts, (then) who is the god other than Allah who can restore to you these (blessings afresh)?’ Look how diversely We explain Our Revelations! Yet they continue turning away.

46. Qul araaytum in akhatha Allahu samAAakum waabsarakum wakhatama AAala quloobikum man ilahun ghayru Allahi yateekum bihi onthur kayfa nusarrifu alayati thumma hum yasdifoona

46. Si (til dem): «Vel, si meg, hvis Allah skulle frata dere hørselen deres og synet deres og sette segl over deres hjerte, hvilken tilbedelsesverdig guddom unntatt Allah kan da bringe dere tilbake disse (velsignelsene på nytt)?» Se, hvordan Vi forklarer åpenbaringene Våre på forskjellige måter, men fortsatt vender de bort.

46. (उनसे) फरमा दीजिए कि तुम ये तो बताओ अगर अल्लाह तुम्हारी समाअ़त और तुम्हारी आंखें ले ले और तुम्हारे दिलों पर मुहर लगा दे (तो) अल्लाह के सिवा कौन माबूद ऐसा है जो ये (नेअ़मतें दोबारा) तुम्हारे पास ले आए? देखिए हम किस तरह गूनागूं आयतें बयान करते हैं, फिर (भी) वोह रूगर्दानी किए जाते है।

৪৬. (তাদেরকে) বলুন, ‘তোমরা বলো তো, যদি আল্লাহ্ তোমাদের শ্রবণশক্তি ও দৃষ্টিশক্তি ছিনিয়ে নেন এবং তোমাদের অন্তরকে মোহরাঙ্কিত করে দেন (তবে) আল্লাহ্ ব্যতীত এমন কোন্ উপাস্য রয়েছে যে এ সকল (নিয়ামত পুনরায়) তোমাদের কাছে নিয়ে আসতে পারে?’ দেখুন, আমরা কিভাবে বিভিন্নরূপে আয়াতসমূহ বর্ণনা করি। এরপর(ও) তারা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়।
(al-An‘am, 6 : 46)

قُلۡ اَرَءَیۡتَکُمۡ اِنۡ اَتٰىکُمۡ عَذَابُ اللّٰہِ بَغۡتَۃً اَوۡ جَہۡرَۃً ہَلۡ یُہۡلَکُ اِلَّا الۡقَوۡمُ الظّٰلِمُوۡنَ ﴿۴۷﴾

47. آپ (ان سے یہ بھی) فرما دیجئے کہ تم مجھے بتاؤ اگر تم پر اللہ کا عذاب اچانک یا کھلم کھلا آن پڑے تو کیا ظالم قوم کے سوا (کوئی اور) ہلاک کیا جائے گاo

47. Say: ‘What do you think: If Allah’s punishment comes to you suddenly or openly, would anyone be destroyed except the wrongdoing people?’

47. (Also) say (to them): ‘Tell me if the punishment of Allah comes upon you all of a sudden or openly, will (any other) be destroyed except those who do injustice?’

47. Qul araaytakum in atakum AAathabu Allahi baghtatan aw jahratan hal yuhlaku illa alqawmu alththalimoona

47. Si (også til dem): «Vel, si meg, hvis Allahs pine skulle komme over dere plutselig eller åpenlyst, vil da noen andre enn det ondsinnede folk bli tilintetgjort?»

47. आप (उनसे ये भी) फरमा दीजिए कि तुम मुझे बताओ अगर तुम पर अल्लाह का अ़ज़ाब अचानक या खुल्लम खुल्ला आन पड़े तो क्या ज़ालिम क़ौम के सिवा (कोई और) हलाक किया जाएगा?

৪৭. আপনি (তাদেরকে এও) বলে দিন, ‘তোমরা আমাকে বলো, যদি তোমাদের উপর আল্লাহ্‌র শাস্তি আসে হঠাৎ অথবা প্রকাশ্যে, তবে কি যালিম সম্প্রদায় ব্যতীত (অন্য কাউকে) ধ্বংস করা হবে?’
(al-An‘am, 6 : 47)

وَ مَا نُرۡسِلُ الۡمُرۡسَلِیۡنَ اِلَّا مُبَشِّرِیۡنَ وَ مُنۡذِرِیۡنَ ۚ فَمَنۡ اٰمَنَ وَ اَصۡلَحَ فَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَیۡہِمۡ وَ لَا ہُمۡ یَحۡزَنُوۡنَ ﴿۴۸﴾

48. اور ہم پیغمبروں کو نہیں بھیجتے مگر خوشخبری سنانے والے اور ڈر سنانے والے بنا کر، سو جو شخص ایمان لے آیا اور (عملاً) درست ہوگیا تو ان پرنہ کوئی خوف ہوگا اور نہ ہی وہ غمگین ہوں گےo

48. We do not send the messengers except as bearers of glad tidings and as warners. As for those who become believers and righteous, there shall be no fear on them, nor shall they grieve.

48. And We do not send Messengers but as Bearers of glad tidings and as Warners. So whoever believes and changes into a righteous person (practically), they will have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.

48. Wama nursilu almursaleena illa mubashshireena wamunthireena faman amana waaslaha fala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona

48. Og Vi sender ikke sendebudene unntatt som bærere av gledelige budskap og som advarere. De som antar troen og forbedrer seg (sine gjerninger) helt, over dem vil det ikke være noen frykt, og ei heller vil de være sørgmodige.

48. और हम पैग़म्बरों को नहीं भेजते मगर खु़शख़बरी सुनाने वाले और डर सुनाने वाले बना कर, सो जो शख़्स ईमान ले आया और (अ़मलन) दुरुस्त हो गया तो उन पर न कोई ख़ौफ होगा और न ही वोह ग़मगीन होंगे।

৪৮. আর আমরা রাসূলগণকে তো সুসংবাদাতা ও সতর্ককারীরূপেই প্রেরণ করি। সুতরাং যারা ঈমান আনয়ন করেছে অথবা (বাস্তবে) সংশোধিত হয়ে গিয়েছে, তবে তাদের জন্যে না থাকবে কোনো ভয়, আর তারা না হবে চিন্তান্বিত।

قُلۡ لَّاۤ اَقُوۡلُ لَکُمۡ عِنۡدِیۡ خَزَآئِنُ اللّٰہِ وَ لَاۤ اَعۡلَمُ الۡغَیۡبَ وَ لَاۤ اَقُوۡلُ لَکُمۡ اِنِّیۡ مَلَکٌ ۚ اِنۡ اَتَّبِعُ اِلَّا مَا یُوۡحٰۤی اِلَیَّ ؕ قُلۡ ہَلۡ یَسۡتَوِی الۡاَعۡمٰی وَ الۡبَصِیۡرُ ؕ اَفَلَا تَتَفَکَّرُوۡنَ ﴿٪۵۰﴾

50. آپ (ان کافروں سے) فرما دیجئے کہ میں تم سے (یہ) نہیں کہتا کہ میرے پاس اللہ کے خزانے ہیں اور نہ میں اَز خود غیب جانتا ہوں اور نہ میں تم سے (یہ) کہتا ہوں کہ میں فرشتہ ہوں، میں تو صرف اسی (حکم) کی پیروی کرتا ہوں جو میری طرف وحی کیا جاتاہے۔ فرما دیجئے: کیا اندھا اور بینا برابر ہوسکتے ہیں؟ سو کیا تم غور نہیں کرتےo

50. Say (to the disbelievers): ‘I do not say to you that I possess the treasures of Allah, nor do I know the Unseen myself, nor do I say to you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me.’ Say: ‘Can the blind and the seeing be equal? Will you not then reflect?’

50. Say (to these disbelievers): ‘I do not say to you that I possess the treasures of Allah, nor do I know the unseen myself, nor do I say to you that I am an angel. I follow only that (commandment) which is revealed to me.’ Say: ‘Can the blind and the seeing be equal? So do you not ponder?’

50. Qul la aqoolu lakum AAindee khazainu Allahi wala aAAlamu alghayba wala aqoolu lakum innee malakun in attabiAAu illa ma yooha ilayya qul hal yastawee alaAAma waalbaseeru afala tatafakkaroona

50. Si (til de vantro): «Jeg sier ikke til dere: 'Jeg har Allahs skatter!', og ei heller kjenner jeg til det usette av meg selv, og heller ikke sier jeg til dere: 'Jeg er en engel!' Jeg følger kun det (den befalingen) som blir åpenbart for meg.» Si: «Kan da den blinde og den seende være like? Tenker dere da ikke dypt etter?»

50. आप (उन काफिरों से) फरमा दीजिए कि मैं तुम से (ये) नहीं कहता कि मेरे पास अल्लाह के ख़ज़ाने हैं और न मैं अज़ ख़ुद ग़ैब जानता हूं और न मैं तुमसे (ये) कहता हूं कि मैं फरिश्ता हूं। मैं तो सिर्फ उसी (हुक्म) की पैरवी करता हूं जो मेरी तरफ वही किया जाता हैं। फरमा दीजिए: क्या अँधा और बीना बराबर हो सकते हैं? सो क्या तुम ग़ौर नहीं करते?

৫০. আপনি (এসব কাফেরকে) বলে দিন, ‘আমি তোমাদেরকে (এ কথা) বলিনা যে, আমার নিকট আল্লাহ্‌র ধনভান্ডার রয়েছে, না আমি নিজ থেকে অদৃশ্য জানি এবং না আমি তোমাদেরকে (এ কথা) বলি যে, আমি ফেরেশতা। আমি তো কেবল (নির্দেশ হিসেবে) তারই অনুসরণ করি যা আমার7 প্রতি প্রত্যাদেশ করা হয়।’ বলে দিন, ‘অন্ধ ও চক্ষুষ্মান কি সমান? সুতরাং তোমরা কি চিন্তা করো না?’
