الٓـمّٓرٰ ۟ تِلۡکَ اٰیٰتُ الۡکِتٰبِ ؕ وَ الَّذِیۡۤ اُنۡزِلَ اِلَیۡکَ مِنۡ رَّبِّکَ الۡحَقُّ وَ لٰکِنَّ اَکۡثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا یُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ﴿۱﴾

1. الف، لام، میم، را (حقیقی معنی اللہ اور رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ہی بہتر جانتے ہیں)، یہ کتابِ الٰہی کی آیتیں ہیں، اور جو کچھ آپ کے رب کی طرف سے آپ کی جانب نازل کیا گیا ہے (وہ) حق ہے لیکن اکثر لوگ ایمان نہیں لاتےo

1. Alif, Lam, Mim, Ra. These are the Verses of the Book. And what has been revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, but most people do not believe.

1. Alif, Lam, Mim, Ra. (Only Allah and the Messenger [blessings and peace be upon him] know the real meaning.) These are the Verses of the Book of Allah, and whatever has been revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, but most people do not believe.

1. Aliflammeemra tilka ayatu alkitabi waallathee onzila ilayka min rabbika alhaqqu walakinna akthara alnnasi la yuminoona

1. Alif, Lām, Mīm, Rā (kun Allah og Sendebudet ﷺ kjenner til den sanne betydningen). Dette er Allahs skrifts vers, og alt det som er blitt åpenbart for deg fra Herren din, er sannheten, men folk flest antar ikke troen.

1. अलिफ लाम मीम रा (हक़ीक़ी मअ़ना अल्लाह और रसूल सल्लल्लाहु अ़लैहि व सल्लम ही बेहतर जानते हैं), ये किताबे इलाही की आयतें हैं, और जो कुछ आपके रब की तरफ से आपकी जानिब नाज़िल किया गया है (वोह) हक़्क़ है लेकिन अक्सर लोग ईमान नहीं लाते।

১. আলিফ-লাম-মীম-রা। (প্রকৃত অর্থ আল্লাহ্ এবং রাসূল সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া আলিহী ওয়াসাল্লামই অধিক অবগত।) এগুলো আল্লাহ্‌র কিতাবের আয়াত, এবং যা কিছু আপনার প্রতিপালকের পক্ষ থেকে আপনার প্রতি অবতীর্ণ করা হয়েছে (তা) সত্য। কিন্তু অধিকাংশ মানুষ বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে না।

اَللّٰہُ الَّذِیۡ رَفَعَ السَّمٰوٰتِ بِغَیۡرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوۡنَہَا ثُمَّ اسۡتَوٰی عَلَی الۡعَرۡشِ وَ سَخَّرَ الشَّمۡسَ وَ الۡقَمَرَ ؕ کُلٌّ یَّجۡرِیۡ لِاَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّی ؕ یُدَبِّرُ الۡاَمۡرَ یُفَصِّلُ الۡاٰیٰتِ لَعَلَّکُمۡ بِلِقَآءِ رَبِّکُمۡ تُوۡقِنُوۡنَ ﴿۲﴾

2. اللہ وہ ہے جس نے آسمانوں کو بغیر ستون کے (خلا میں) بلند فرمایا (جیسا کہ) تم دیکھ رہے ہو، پھر (پوری کائنات پر محیط اپنے) تختِ اِقتدار پر (اپنی شان کے لائق) متمکن ہوا اور اُس نے سورج اور چاند کو نظام کا پابند بنا دیا، ہر ایک اپنی مقررہ میعاد (میں مسافت مکمل کرنے) کے لیے (اپنے اپنے مدار میں) چلتا ہے۔ وہی (ساری کائنات کے) پورے نظام کی تدبیر فرماتا ہے، (سب) نشانیوں (یعنی قوانینِ فطرت) کو تفصیلاً واضح فرماتا ہے تاکہ تم اپنے رب کے رُوبرو حاضر ہونے کا یقین کر لوo

2. It is Allah Who raised the heavens without any pillars that you see. Then (befitting His Glory), He established His command on the Throne. And He subjected the sun and the moon, each orbiting for a specified time. He regulates the affairs (and) elaborates the signs (of creation) so that you may be certain of the meeting with your Lord.

2. Allah is He Who has raised the heavens aloft (in space) without pillars (as) you see; then He established His authority on the Throne (encompassing the entire universe befitting His glory) and fettered the sun and the moon to a system, each moving (in its respective orbit to complete its rotation) during its appointed term. He alone devises strategies for the total system (of the entire universe), and vividly manifests (all the) signs (or the laws of nature) so that you may develop firm faith in appearing before your Lord.

2. Allahu allathee rafaAAa alssamawati bighayri AAamadin tarawnaha thumma istawa AAala alAAarshi wasakhkhara alshshamsa waalqamara kullun yajree liajalin musamman yudabbiru alamra yufassilu alayati laAAallakum biliqai rabbikum tooqinoona

2. Allah er Den som hevet himlene (i verdensrommet) uten søyler, (slik som) dere ser. Deretter steg Han (ifølge Sin Verdighet med Sin eneveldige autoritet) over tronen (etter å ha skapt universet, håndhevet Han Sin befalings system og makt i alle verdener og himmellegemer), og Han underordnet solen og månen et system, enhver av dem beveger seg (i sin bestemte bane) for en fastsatt tid (for å fullføre sin rotasjon). Han tilrettelegger alle affærer (styrer alt ifølge en plan, får alt til å fungere ifølge et system). Han klargjør tegnene (eller naturloven) utdypet i detaljer, slik at dere må få full forvissning om at dere (en dag) må møte opp hos (stå overfor) Herren!

2. अल्लाह वोह है जिसने आस्मानों को बिग़ैर सुतून के (ख़लाअ में) बलन्द फरमाया (जैसा कि) तुम देख रहे हो फिर (पूरी काइनात पर मुहीत अपने) तख़्ते इक़्तिदार पर (अपनी शान के लाइक़) मु-त-मक्किन हुआ और उसने सूरज और चांद को निज़ाम का पाबन्द बना दिया। हर एक अपनी मुक़र्ररा मीआद (में मुसाफत मुकम्मल करने) के लिए (अपने अपने मदार में) चलता है, वोही (सारी काइनात के) पूरे निज़ाम की तद्‌बीर फरमाता है, (सब) निशानियों (या क़वानीने फितरत) को तफ्सीलन वाजे़ह फरमाता है ताकि तुम अपने रब के रुबरू हाज़िर होने का यक़ीन कर लो।

২. আর তিনি আল্লাহ্, যিনি আকাশমন্ডলীকে স্তম্ভ ব্যতীত (শূন্যে) সমুন্নত করেছেন যেমনটি তোমরা দেখতে পাচ্ছো। অতঃপর তিনি (সারা জাহানের উপর বেষ্টিত স্বীয়) কর্তৃত্বের সিংহাসনে অধিষ্ঠিত হয়েছেন এবং সূর্য ও চন্দ্রকে নিয়মের অনুগামী করেছেন। প্রত্যেকে স্বীয় নির্ধারিত সময়ে (আবর্তন পূর্ণ করতে নিজ নিজ কক্ষপথে) পরিভ্রমণ করে। তিনিই (সমস্ত জগতের) সকল নিয়মের কৌশল নির্ধারণ করে দেন। (সকল) নিদর্শনাবলী (অথবা প্রাকৃতিক নিয়মাবলী) বিস্তারিতভাবে সুস্পষ্ট করে দেন যাতে তোমরা তোমাদের প্রতিপালকের সম্মুখে উপস্থিত হওয়ায় বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করো।

وَ ہُوَ الَّذِیۡ مَدَّ الۡاَرۡضَ وَ جَعَلَ فِیۡہَا رَوَاسِیَ وَ اَنۡہٰرًا ؕ وَ مِنۡ کُلِّ الثَّمَرٰتِ جَعَلَ فِیۡہَا زَوۡجَیۡنِ اثۡنَیۡنِ یُغۡشِی الَّیۡلَ النَّہَارَ ؕ اِنَّ فِیۡ ذٰلِکَ لَاٰیٰتٍ لِّقَوۡمٍ یَّتَفَکَّرُوۡنَ ﴿۳﴾

3. اور وہی ہے جس نے (گولائی کے باوجود) زمین کو پھیلایا اور اس میں پہاڑ اور دریا بنائے، اور ہر قسم کے پھلوں میں (بھی) اس نے دو دو (جنسوں کے) جوڑے بنائے (وہی) رات سے دن کو ڈھانک لیتا ہے، بیشک اس میں تفکر کرنے والوں کے لئے (بہت) نشانیاں ہیںo

3. He is the One Who has spread out the earth and placed firm mountains and rivers upon it. And of all the fruits, He has made therein a pair. He causes the night to cover the day. Indeed, there are signs for people who reflect.

3. And He is the One Who spread out the earth (despite its being round) and brought about mountains and rivers in it and produced pairs of (genders) two each amongst all kinds of fruits (as well. He is the One Who) stretches the cover of the night over the day. Indeed, there are (many) signs in it for those who meditate.

3. Wahuwa allathee madda alarda wajaAAala feeha rawasiya waanharan wamin kulli alththamarati jaAAala feeha zawjayni ithnayni yughshee allayla alnnahara inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yatafakkaroona

3. Og Han er Den som har spredd jorden (selv om den er rund), og Han skapte fjell og elver på den. Og blant alle frukter skapte Han to par (kjønn), Han dekker dagen med natten. Sannelig, i dette er det tegn for det folk som funderer dypt.

3. और वोही है जिसने (गोलाई के बावुजूद) ज़मीन को फैलाया और उसमें पहाड़ और दरिया बनाए, और हर क़िस्म के फलों में (भी) उसने दो दो (जिन्सों के) जोड़े बनाए (वोही) रात से दिन को ढांक लेता है, बेशक उसमें तफक्कुर करने वालों के लिए (बहुत) निशानियां हैं।

৩. আর তিনিই (গোলাকার হওয়া সত্তেও) পৃথিবীকে প্রসারিত করেছেন এবং এতে পর্বত ও নদী সৃষ্টি করেছেন। আর প্রত্যেক প্রকারের ফলমূল সৃষ্টি করেছেন জোড়ায় জোড়ায়। (তিনিই) রাতের দ্বারা দিনকে আচ্ছাদিত করেন। নিশ্চয়ই এতে চিন্তাশীলদের জন্যে রয়েছে (অনেক) নিদর্শন ।

وَ فِی الۡاَرۡضِ قِطَعٌ مُّتَجٰوِرٰتٌ وَّ جَنّٰتٌ مِّنۡ اَعۡنَابٍ وَّ زَرۡعٌ وَّ نَخِیۡلٌ صِنۡوَانٌ وَّ غَیۡرُ صِنۡوَانٍ یُّسۡقٰی بِمَآءٍ وَّاحِدٍ ۟ وَ نُفَضِّلُ بَعۡضَہَا عَلٰی بَعۡضٍ فِی الۡاُکُلِ ؕ اِنَّ فِیۡ ذٰلِکَ لَاٰیٰتٍ لِّقَوۡمٍ یَّعۡقِلُوۡنَ ﴿۴﴾

4. اور زمین میں (مختلف قسم کے) قطعات ہیں جو ایک دوسرے کے قریب ہیں اور انگوروں کے باغات ہیں اور کھیتیاں ہیں اور کھجور کے درخت ہیں، جھنڈدار اور بغیر جھنڈ کے، ان (سب) کو ایک ہی پانی سے سیراب کیا جاتا ہے، اور (اس کے باوجود) ہم ذائقہ میں بعض کو بعض پر فضیلت بخشتے ہیں، بیشک اس میں عقل مندوں کے لئے (بڑی) نشانیاں ہیںo

4. And on the earth, there are (diverse) neighbouring tracks, vineyards, (various) farms and date palms growing from the same root and (others) from different roots. (All these are) irrigated by the same water. Yet We give some of them an advantage over others in taste and flavour. There are indeed signs in this for people who understand.

4. And there are, in the earth, tracts (of different kinds) that are adjacent to each other and the gardens of grapes and crops and palm trees, clustered and non-clustered. All these are irrigated with the same water. And (despite that) We make some of them superior to others in taste. Verily, there are (great) signs in it for the people who apply reason.

4. Wafee alardi qitaAAun mutajawiratun wajannatun min aAAnabin wazarAAun wanakheelun sinwanun waghayru sinwanin yusqa bimain wahidin wanufaddilu baAAdaha AAala baAAdin fee alokuli inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yaAAqiloona

4. Og på jorden finnes det (ulike) trakter som er ved siden av hverandre, og druehager, åkrer og daddelpalmetrær i klynger og enkeltvis, alle vannet med samme vann. Men til tross for det har Vi gitt overlegenhet til noen av dem over andre i smak. Sannelig, i dette er det (store) tegn for dem som har fornuft.

4. और ज़मीन में (मुख़्तलिफ क़िस्म के) क़त्आत हैं जो एक दूसरे के क़रीब हैं और अंगूरों के बाग़ात हैं और खेतियां हैं और खजूर के दरख़्त हैं, झुंडदार और बिग़ैर झुंड के, उन (सब) को एक ही पानी से सैराब किया जाता है और (उसके बावुजूद) हम ज़ाइक़े में बा’ज़ को बा’ज़ पर फज़ीलत बख़्शते हैं, बेशक उसमें अ़क़्लमंदों के लिए (बड़ी) निशानियां हैं।

৪. আর পৃথিবীতে রয়েছে (বিভিন্ন প্রকারের) ভুখন্ড, যেগুলো পরস্পর সংলগ্ন, আর রয়েছে আঙ্গুরের বাগান, শস্যক্ষেত্র এবং গুচ্ছবিশিষ্ট ও গুচ্ছবিহীন খেজুর বৃক্ষ। এ সবকিছুই সিঞ্চিত (অর্থাৎ সেচ দেওয়া হয়) একই পানি দ্বারা। আর (এতদসত্তেও) আমরা স্বাদে কতককে কতকের উপর শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব দিয়েছি। নিশ্চয়ই এতে বুদ্ধিমানদের জন্যে রয়েছে (মহান) নিদর্শন।

وَ اِنۡ تَعۡجَبۡ فَعَجَبٌ قَوۡلُہُمۡ ءَ اِذَا کُنَّا تُرٰبًا ءَ اِنَّا لَفِیۡ خَلۡقٍ جَدِیۡدٍ ۬ؕ اُولٰٓئِکَ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا بِرَبِّہِمۡ ۚ وَ اُولٰٓئِکَ الۡاَغۡلٰلُ فِیۡۤ اَعۡنَاقِہِمۡ ۚ وَ اُولٰٓئِکَ اَصۡحٰبُ النَّارِ ۚ ہُمۡ فِیۡہَا خٰلِدُوۡنَ ﴿۵﴾

5. اور اگر آپ (کفار کے انکار پر) تعجب کریں تو ان کا (یہ) کہنا عجیب (تر) ہے کہ کیا جب ہم (مر کر) خاک ہو جائیں گے تو کیا ہم اَز سرِ نو تخلیق کئے جائیں گے؟ یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے اپنے رب کا انکار کیا، اور انہی لوگوں کی گردنوں میں طوق (پڑے) ہوں گے اور یہی لوگ اہلِ جہنم ہیں، وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیںo

5. If you are to be amazed (at anything), then be amazed at their saying: ‘Once we have turned to dust, shall we be (raised) into a new creation?’ They are the ones who disbelieve in their Lord, and they shall have shackles around their necks. They shall be the inhabitants of the Fire. And they shall remain in it forever.

5. And if you are surprised (at the denial of the disbelievers), then (more) surprising is that they say: ‘What, when we become dust (after death), shall we then be created anew?’ They are the ones who deny their Lord, and they alone will have shackles around their necks. And they are the ones who are the inmates of Hell. They will reside in it forever.

5. Wain taAAjab faAAajabun qawluhum aitha kunna turaban ainna lafee khalqin jadeedin olaika allatheena kafaroo birabbihim waolaika alaghlalu fee aAAnaqihim waolaika ashabu alnnari hum feeha khalidoona

5. Og hvis du forundrer deg (over de vantros fornektelse), så er (dette) utsagnet deres (mer) forundringsverdig: «Når vi er blitt jord (etter vår død), skal vi da bli skapt på nytt?» Disse er de som har fornektet sin Herre, og disse vil ha jernkrager rundt halsen. Og disse vil være helvetes beboere, de vil være i det for alltid.

5. और अगर आप (कुफ्फार के इन्कार पर) तअ़ज्जुब करें तो उनका (ये) कहना अ़जीब (तर) है कि क्या जब हम (मरकर) ख़ाक हो जाएंगे तो क्या हम अज़ सरे नौ तख़्लीक़ किए जाएंगे? ये ही वोह लोग हैं जिन्होंने अपने रब का इन्कार किया, और उन ही लोगों की गर्दनों में तौक़ (पड़े) होंगे, और येही लोग अह्‌ले जहन्नम हैं, वोह उसमें हमेशा रहने वाले हैं।

৫. আর (কাফেরদের অস্বীকারের কারণে) যদি আপনি বিস্মিত হন, তবে (অধিকতর) বিস্ময়কর তাদের এ কথা: ‘(মৃত্যুর পর) যখন আমরা মাটিতে পরিণত হবো, তখনও কি আমাদেরকে নতুন করে সৃষ্টি করা হবে?’ তারাই সেসব লোক যারা তাদের প্রতিপালককে অস্বীকার করে এবং তাদের গর্দানে শিকল (পড়ানো) থাকবে, আর তারাই জাহান্নামী, তাতে তারা চিরকাল থাকবে।

وَ یَسۡتَعۡجِلُوۡنَکَ بِالسَّیِّئَۃِ قَبۡلَ الۡحَسَنَۃِ وَ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِنۡ قَبۡلِہِمُ الۡمَثُلٰتُ ؕ وَ اِنَّ رَبَّکَ لَذُوۡ مَغۡفِرَۃٍ لِّلنَّاسِ عَلٰی ظُلۡمِہِمۡ ۚ وَ اِنَّ رَبَّکَ لَشَدِیۡدُ الۡعِقَابِ ﴿۶﴾

6. اور یہ لوگ رحمت سے پہلے آپ سے عذاب طلب کرنے میں جلدی کرتے ہیں، حالانکہ ان سے پہلے کئی عذاب گزر چکے ہیں، اور (اے حبیب!) بیشک آپ کا رب لوگوں کے لئے ان کے ظلم کے باوجود بخشش والا ہے اور یقیناً آپ کا رب سخت عذاب دینے والا (بھی) ہےo

6. They ask you to hasten the evil (i.e. the divine punishment) before the good (i.e. the divine mercy), though (many) examples have already passed before them. Indeed, your Lord is the Lord of forgiveness for humankind despite their wrongdoing. And indeed, your Lord is severe in retribution.

6. And they hasten to demand from you punishment before mercy though many torments have passed before them. And, (O Beloved,) your Lord is Most Forgiving to the people despite their (oppression and) injustice. But certainly, your Lord is Severe in punishment (as well).

6. WayastaAAjiloonaka bialssayyiati qabla alhasanati waqad khalat min qablihimu almathulatu wainna rabbaka lathoo maghfiratin lilnnasi AAala thulmihim wainna rabbaka lashadeedu alAAiqabi

6. Og de skynder seg med å be om pinen fra deg før nåden, enda det har overgått mange piner før dem. Og (kjære elskede ﷺ!), sannelig, Herren din er full av tilgivelse mot menneskene til tross for deres ondskap, men Herren din gir i sannhet også hard pine.

6. और ये लोग रह्‌मत से पहले आप से अ़ज़ाब तलब करने में जल्दी करते हैं, हालांकि उनसे पहले कई अ़ज़ाब गुज़र चुके हैं, और (ऐ हबीब!) बेशक आपका रब लोगों के लिए उनके ज़ुल्म के बावुजूद बख़्शिश वाला है और यक़ीनन आपका रब सख़्त अ़ज़ाब देने वाला (भी) है।

৬. আর তারা কল্যাণের পূর্বে আপনার কাছে শাস্তি অন্বেষণে দ্রুততা কামনা করে, অথচ তাদের পূর্বে বহু শাস্তি অতিবাহিত হয়েছে। আর ( হে হাবীব!) নিশ্চয়ই আপনার প্রতিপালক মানুষের প্রতি, তাদের যুলুম সত্তেও ক্ষমাশীল। তবে নিশ্চিতভাবে আপনার প্রতিপালক শাস্তি দানেও কঠোর।

وَ یَقُوۡلُ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا لَوۡ لَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ عَلَیۡہِ اٰیَۃٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّہٖ ؕ اِنَّمَاۤ اَنۡتَ مُنۡذِرٌ وَّ لِکُلِّ قَوۡمٍ ہَادٍ ٪﴿۷﴾

7. اور کافر لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ اس (رسول) پر ان کے رب کی طرف سے کوئی نشانی کیوں نہیں اتاری گئی؟ (اے رسولِ مکرّم!) آپ تو فقط (نافرمانوں کو انجامِ بد سے) ڈرانے والے اور (دنیا کی) ہر قوم کے لئے ہدایت بہم پہنچانے والے ہیںo

7. And those who disbelieve say: ‘Why has not some (miraculous) sign been sent down upon him from his Lord?’ You are but a warner, and every nation has a guide.

7. And the disbelievers say: ‘Why has any sign not been sent down to this (Messenger) from his Lord?’ (O My Glorious Messenger!) You are only a warner (to the disobedient of their evil consequences) and a provider of guidance to every community (of the world).

7. Wayaqoolu allatheena kafaroo lawla onzila AAalayhi ayatun min rabbihi innama anta munthirun walikulli qawmin hadin

7. Og de vantro sier: «Hvorfor er det ikke blitt sendt ned et tegn til ham (Sendebudet ﷺ) fra Herren hans?» (Kjære høyaktede Sendebud ﷺ!) Du er kun en advarer (for de ulydige mot den forferdelige enden) og en rettleder for ethvert folk (i hele verden).

7. और काफिर लोग कहते हैं कि इस (रसूल) पर उनके रब की तरफ से कोई निशानी क्यों नहीं उतारी गई? (ऐ रसूले मुकर्रम!) आप तो फक़त (नाफरमानों को अंजामे बद से) डराने वाले और (दुन्या की) हर क़ौम के लिए हिदायत बहम पहुंचाने वाले हैं।

৭. আর কাফেরেরা বলে, ‘(এ রাসূল)-এঁর প্রতি তাঁর প্রতিপালকের পক্ষ থেকে কোনো নিদর্শন কেন অবতীর্ণ হয়নি?’ (হে সম্মানিত রাসূল!) আপনি তো কেবল (নাফরমানদের খারাপ পরিণতির ব্যাপারে) সতর্ককারী এবং (পৃথিবীর) সকল সম্প্রদায়ের পথ-প্রদর্শক।
