مَا جَعَلَ اللّٰہُ مِنۡۢ بَحِیۡرَۃٍ وَّ لَا سَآئِبَۃٍ وَّ لَا وَصِیۡلَۃٍ وَّ لَا حَامٍ ۙ وَّ لٰکِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا یَفۡتَرُوۡنَ عَلَی اللّٰہِ الۡکَذِبَ ؕ وَ اَکۡثَرُہُمۡ لَا یَعۡقِلُوۡنَ ﴿۱۰۳﴾
103. اللہ نے نہ تو بحیرہ کو (اَمرِ شرعی) مقرر کیا ہے اور نہ سائبہ کو اور نہ وصیلہ کو اور نہ حام کو، لیکن کافر لوگ اللہ پر جھوٹا بہتان باندھتے ہیں، اور ان میں سے اکثر عقل نہیں رکھتےo
103. Allah has not prescribed any such thing as Bahira, Sa’iba, Wasila and Ham.* But the disbelievers fabricate lies against Allah, and most of them do not understand.
* These four terms refer to particular kinds of camels that the pagan Arabs used to dedicate to different idols and consider them sacred. Such camels could not be ridden or milked or made to carry any burden, but they had to be allowed to wander and graze freely. These camels would often be marked by slit ears to make the people aware of their sacred status. The Qur’an has rejected and condemned this idolatrous practice of the pre-Islamic Arabs.
103. Allah has not made (lawful in the Shariah a cattle dedicated to idols), such as a Bahira, a Sa’iba, a Wasila or a Ham. But the disbelievers fabricate lies against Allah and most of them do not have sense.
103. Ma jaAAala Allahu min baheeratin wala saibatin wala waseelatin wala hamin walakinna allatheena kafaroo yaftaroona AAala Allahi alkathiba waaktharuhum la yaAAqiloona
103. Allah har ikke gjort lovlig (i den islamske loven fe viet til avguder), slik som en Bahīrah, en Sā’ibah, en Wa|īlah eller en Hām. Men de vantro dikter opp løgn om Allah, og de fleste av dem eier ikke forstand.
103. अल्लाह ने न तो बहीरा को (अम्रे शरई) मुक़र्रर किया है, और न साइबा को और न वसीला को और न हाम को, लेकिन काफिर लोग अल्लाह पर झूटा बोह्तान बांधते हैं, और उनमें से अक्सर अ़क़्ल नहीं रखते।
১০৩. (মূর্তির উদ্দেশ্যে উৎসর্গ করা শরীয়তসম্মত নয়, যেমন) আল্লাহ্ না ‘বাহীরাহ্’ নির্ধারণ করেছেন, না ‘সায়িবাহ্’, না ‘ওয়াসীলাহ্’ আর না ‘হাম’। কিন্তু কাফেরেরা আল্লাহ্র প্রতি মিথ্যা অপবাদ রচনা করে এবং তাদের অধিকাংশই উপলব্ধি করে না।
