اَلَمۡ یَاۡتِکُمۡ نَبَؤُا الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا مِنۡ قَبۡلُ ۫ فَذَاقُوۡا وَبَالَ اَمۡرِہِمۡ وَ لَہُمۡ عَذَابٌ اَلِیۡمٌ ﴿۵﴾

5. کیا تمہیں اُن لوگوں کی خبر نہیں پہنچی جنہوں نے (تم سے) پہلے کفر کیا تھا تو انہوں نے (دنیا میں) اپنے کام کی سزا چکھ لی اور ان کے لئے (آخرت میں بھی) دردناک عذاب ہےo

5. Has there not come to you the story of those who disbelieved before? They tasted the evil consequences of their conduct, and there shall be a painful punishment for them.

5. Has the news not reached you of those who disbelieved before you and tasted the punishment of their work (in the world), and there is a grievous torment for them (in the Hereafter as well)?

5. Alam yatikum nabao allatheena kafaroo min qablu fathaqoo wabala amrihim walahum AAathabun aleemun

5. Har da ikke underretningen nådd dere om dem som viste vantro før (dere), og fikk smake straffen av sine verk (i det dennesidige), og om at det for dem er en smertelig pine (i det hinsidige)?

5. क्या तुम्हें उन लोगों की ख़बर नहीं पहुं ची जिन्होंने (तुम से) पहले कुफ्र किया था तो उन्होंने (दुन्या में) अपने काम की सज़ा चख ली और उनके लिए (आख़िरत में भी) दर्दनाक अ़ज़ाब है।

৫. তোমাদের নিকট কি সেসব লোকের বৃত্তান্ত পৌঁছেনি যারা (তোমাদের) পূর্বে কুফরী করেছিল এবং (পৃথিবীতে) তাদের কর্মের শাস্তি আস্বাদন করেছে? আর (আখেরাতেও) তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি।
(التَّغَابُن، 64 : 5)
